Tastytrade wheel tracker: import your CSV

Tastytrade is the wheel seller's home broker, and it is the best supported CSV in ThetaRecap. The History export carries the option lifecycle rows most tools drop — assignment, exercise, expiration — so a cash-secured put that gets assigned and turned into covered calls chains into one campaign cleanly.

Options-aware Account History CSV

Export the CSV from Tastytrade

  1. 1Open the Tastytrade web platform and go to your account History.
  2. 2Set the date range to cover the campaigns you want to import.
  3. 3Use the download / export control to save the History as CSV.
  4. 4Drag that CSV into ThetaRecap — your raw file is stored untouched before anything parses it.

What ThetaRecap reads

  • Trade rows: buy/sell to open and close, for equities and options
  • Receive Deliver lifecycle rows: assignment, exercise, expiration
  • Per-contract option premium, normalized to a positive per-share value
  • Commissions and fees (including rows that export as “--”, treated as zero)
  • Order number, used to link rolls in a campaign
  • ISO-8601 timestamps with their UTC offset

Full options support. Because the assignment, exercise and expiration rows are parsed rather than ignored, the whole wheel — cash-secured put, rolls, assignment, covered calls, called-away — assembles into a single campaign with an accurate cost basis.

Good to know

  • Option Average Price is a signed per-contract total in the export; ThetaRecap normalizes it to a positive per-share premium automatically, so you don't reconcile it by hand.
  • Naive timestamps (no offset) fall back to US Eastern. Assignment and exercise share legs arrive as ordinary equity rows and are parsed as equity fills.
  • Uncommon Receive Deliver types (for example a forward split or an ACAT transfer) and non-equity instruments (futures, crypto) stop with a clear error rather than being guessed at.

ThetaRecap parsers are deliberately loud: in an ambiguous case they stop with a clear error rather than silently skipping a row. And because your raw file is stored immutably, a parser fix re-runs against your original upload — you never re-export to recover.
